On December 16th 2004, the President of the Pilsen Region met representatives of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic, representatives of Slovak community and directors of two high schools in Pilsen and Liptovsky Mikulas on the occasion of Czech-Slovak Days in Pilsen.
Among the points of discussion there was mentioned the possibility to establish the cooperation between the Pilsen Region and a Slovak region. In the evening Mr. Petr Zimmermann, President of the Pilsen Region and Vice-President for Tourism, Mrs. Olga Kalcikova met His Excellency, Ladislav Ballek, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic.
